I'm currently taking a class where we are using a tablet to do various projects such as a self portrait and photo manipulation. I must say, having used a mouse all this time, tablets sure offer a lot more control. I decided to order one since It'll be convenient to do projects at home as well as mess around with it in my free time. I'll be posting stuff I've finished fairly soon.
